The full Virgo Festival 2019 lineup.

The Virgo team's programming prowess has seen hundreds of artists descend onto the Devon countryside over the years since their 2015 debut, combining a hand-picked selection of some of the most exciting artists from across the electronic music spectrum with a huge cast of up-and-coming UK artists. Globally-recognised artists like Craig RichardsJob JobseAndrew WeatherallTama Sumo and Jane Fitz have graced Virgo stages in previous years, but the 2019 roster is arguably their biggest yet.

This year's festival - the fifth and final edition of Virgo in its current form - will see prolific New Yorker Fred P (under his intriguing Black Jazz Consortium alias), house veteran Francesco del Garda and internationally-renowned party starter Dan Shake top the lineup, backed up by more than 70 accomplished DJs and producers from across the South West and beyond.

Some of the most innovative and talked-about labels and party collectives will also be setting up shop at Virgo this year, with VisceraVivifyBody HammerRansom NoteSubSystem and more ready to provide the soundtrack across the weekend.

The decision to make Virgo 2019 the last edition of the much-loved festival hasn't been taken lightly, and the organisers have made it clear that their all-too-rare set of honest values and beliefs are too important to be jeopardised by an increasingly competitive festival landscape in the UK. "We never set out to compete with the big, corporate-owned festivals," said a recent email sent out to ticket holders past and present by the Virgo team, " but we're a party not a business, and that isn't going to change now."

"It’s been a hell of a ride, and to all those who have supported us over the years we thank you from the very bottom of our hearts. To our crew, no our FAMILY, you have and continue to inspire us every day and remind us that there are heroes out there who pour their heart and soul into everything they do and go so far beyond the extra mile."

The last handful of final release tickets for Virgo 2019 are on sale now at £119 (plus booking fee), with a group buy option available offering a free ticket with the purchase of four. Virgo truly is part of what appears to be a dying breed of UK festivals, promoting a fierce passion for music and combining it with the magic of its surroundings and the sense of community among its attendees. Don't miss the fifth and final dance next month.
