Just a mention of the name Hart's Bakey is synonymous with truly awesome baked savouries, cakes and croissants (not to mention excellent coffee), and you'l find their delicious wares lining the racks of many of the city's best restaurants and cafes.
Situated in a large Victorian railway arch at Temple Meads, this consummate artisan bakers make, bake and sell all their addictively edible tucker on site and is a frequent pit-stop for the city's hardened gatronauts as well as passers-by en route to catch a train.
Stalls lined up for the Spring Market will include a cornucopia of homegrown fruit and veg, seedlings, plants, handmade eco-friendly goods, plus the chance to learn about some fantastic community projects. Access to the market is free. Taking place outside the bakery from 8am to 2pm, this is your chance to check out, not only the market, but the bakery itself; a fine artisanal bakers famed for its sausage rolls, carrot cake and cinnamon rolls and satisfying the stomachs and tastebuds of many a hungry passing punter.
