Pete Doherty's first album with The Puta Madres is on sale this April.

With an all-new album on the horizon with his latest collaborators The Puta Madres, Pete Doherty will be embarking on a short five-date tour in May. He'll be kicking off proceedings with a show in Bristol at the O2 Academy.

Best known as the co-frontman of celebrated indie band The Libertines, Doherty was one of the most talked-about names of the 2000s as he shot to the forefront of UK pop culture. His problems off the stage have been well documented but haven't stopped his prolific musical career, forming Babyshambles in 2003 and touring extensively as a solo act over the years.

Doherty's performance in May will be his first visit to the city since an ill-fated performance in 2017, where his stripped-back set was met with disappointment and disruption from the crowd, prompting the former frontman to cut his performance short and refuse an encore. With glowing reviews of recent shows and the exciting prospect of new music with a new band, however, there's a lot to look forward to from the 2019 tour.

Tickets for Pete Doherty and The Puta Madres live at Bristol's O2 Academy on Sunday 5th May are on sale at 9am on Friday 1st March and can be found here. For more information or to follow tour updates, visit Pete Doherty's official website or check out his Facebook page.
