Bristol Bears v Gloucester Rugby on Friday 1st March 2019.

The Bears will be desperate for a win against their local rivals in this one as they sit near the bottom of the table, currently sat in 10th place after 13 games. Currently on a winless run that stretches back to 30th December, they know nothing less than a win will do if they want to avoid a relegation scrap with fellow strugglers Worcester and Newcastle who sit 11th and 12th in the table respectively.

Gloucester, on the other hand, are enjoying a comparatively successful season, finding themselves fourth in the table and just two points behind Harlequins in third. The first clash of this season between the two sides saw Gloucester claim the bragging rights, outclassing Bristol by a margin of more than 20 points, but the Bears got the upper hand more recently as they met in the Cup at Ashton Gate Stadium in November.

Of course, at this stage of the season support on home turf is more important than ever. Bristol will be hoping to walk out to a packed-out Ashton Gate on Friday night, and they should be anticipating a big crowd for one of two hard-fought local derby fixtures. Tickets for this one are on sale now and start at just £30 for adults and £10 for concessions, so get the family down and make your voice heard!
