Gary Barlow’s and Tim Firth’s award-winning musical comedy, Calendar Girls, is coming to the Bristol Hippodrome in Summer 2019 with a brand-new cast.

Featuring Hollyoaks’ Sarah Jane Buckley, Mamma Mia!’s Sue Devaney, Loose Women’s Lisa Maxwell plus many more TV-stars, Calendar Girls will be bringing a hilarious true story to life.
Years ago, a group of ladies banded together to post nude for a Women’s Institute calendar to raise funds for their local hospital, in memory of one of their husbands. To date, the group have raised almost £5million for Bloodwise. This musical comedy shows life in their Yorkshire village, how it happened, the effect on husbands, sons and daughters, and how a group of ordinary ladies achieved something extraordinary.
The masterminds behind the theatrical conception of this endearing tale? Gary Barlow and Tim Firth. Having grown up in the same village, the pair have enjoyed a friendship spanning two decades. While Gary has gone onto sell 50 million records worldwide with Take That, Firth’s Calendar Girls has scooped British Comedy Awards Best Comedy Film for Calendar Girls. Now you can see it live on stage this summer!
Be quick with tickets, though: the critically acclaimed production played a six-month London season at the Phoenix Theatre in 2017, and, before that, enjoyed sold-out seasons in Leeds and Manchester.
Now for the information bit. Tickets range between £16.65 and £71.30 including booking fee. The show's running time is 2 hours 35 minutes including interval.
