Five-piece folk-rock outfit Rusty Shackle will launch their new album 'The Raven, The Thief & The Hangman' at The Exchange in Bristol on Friday 15th February 2019.

Hailing from South Wales, the talented troupe have already released three successful albums and are no strangers on the live touring circuit, having propagated their folk credentials at festivals and venues over the past eight years.

The past two years, however, have seen the band searching for new musical ideas and probing fresh sonic territory and inspiration, burying themselves amidst a treasure trove of interviews, libraries and manuscripts for new material. And new material is exactly what they've come up with, galvanized by the plethora of tales they've uncovered. The result? 'The Raven, The Thief & The Hangman.'

The new album is a combo of traditional lyrics from across the globe, interweaving new melodies and music that blends lyrical, plaintive, bombastic, ethereal and haunting elements which pushes the idea of how stories can inspire music, offer new perspectives and push the folk music envelope.

It all kicks off at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10.50 advance and can be purchased here.

The Exchange is located at 72-73 Old Market Street, Bristol, BS2 0EJ.  Tel. 0117 930 4538
