Discover the marvels of ancient Egypt as part of Egypt Explorers at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery on Wednesday 8th August 2018.

Aimed at older kids between 8 and 11, the event will be an immersive, hands-on workshop full of enthralling stories and educational nuggets about the ancient Egyptians, the pyramids, pharaohs and intriguing (if slightly macabre) minutiae of mummification.

You'll get to explore amazing Egyptian artifacts, decorate a canopic jar, and practise hieroglyphic writing, all of which will take its inspiration from the incredible Egypt gallery.

Of course, budding young Indiana Jones's interest in the subject might also be matched by that of their enthusiastic parents - who are also more than welcome to join in on the educational, crafty fun as well.

To find out more and to book tickets - which cost £10 per person - head here.

Bristol Museum & Art Gallery is located at Queens Road, West End, Bristol, BS8 1RL.  Tel. 0117 922 3571
