Mezcal, tequila’s half-sister, is made from any type of agave plant whereas tequila is made from a single type- the agave tequilana (blue agave)- and can only be produced in the state of Jalisco and in small parts of four other states. The production process is also different from tequila which leads to a distinctly different flavour profile.

Flipside Cocktail Club is at 109 Whiteladies Rd, Bristol, BS8 2PB.

Faraway Cocktail Club is at 15 Small St, Bristol BS1 1DE.
