When was the last time you went to the pictures? There's never been a better time to treat yourself to a great film and a bucket of popcorn this week at Everyman, Bristol's favourite luxury cinema. 

 

The cinema is a beautifully restored Art-deco Picturehouse on Whiteladies Road. Launched in May 2016 by Everyman as a modern boutique cinema, bar & restaurant experience.

Ten years after Mamma Mia!, you are invited to return to the magical Greek island of Kalokairi. Moving between past and present, we follow Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) as she journeys into her mother’s past to unearth unanswered questions about her ‘three fathers’ (Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgard). Searching for inspiration, she retraces Donna’s steps way back to 1979; and accompanied by the music of ABBA, learns some lessons about living life to the fullest.

 

 

Mission Impossible: Fallout

The best intentions often come back to haunt you. 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.

Incredibles 2 at Everyman Cinema Bristol

Everyone’s favourite superhero family return in Incredibles 2, but this time there’s more superwoman than superman. Helen (Holly Hunter) takes the spotlight, letting Bob (Craig T. Nelson) hang up his cape and officially become a stay at home Dad, attempting to navigate the day-to-day heroics of ‘normal’ life.  A tough transition for everyone, it’s made tougher as the family is still unaware of baby Jacks emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a dangerous plot, the family must find a way to work together again, easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.
