Tapstone Brewing Company's weekend takeover kicks off tomorrow at The Bag of Nails in Bristol

Posted on: 22 Mar 2018

The Bag of Nails in Bristol is best known for its' 15 four-legged lodgers that chose the pub as a permanent residency after it was reopened in 2011. However, much to the delight of the locals - but perhaps to the dismay of the cats - The Bag of Nails is set to be taken over by Tapstone Brewing Company this weekend, bringing beers, live music and more to the Hotwells establishment from Friday 23rd March-Sunday 25th.

Tapstone Brewing Company's Tap Takeover will commence tomorrow, Saturday 23rd March, and continue throughout the weekend.

The weekend will see Tapstone Brewing Co. showcase their finest craft beers, cask ales and keg beers throughout a weekend that will also welcome live musicians through the doors of the pub. The Bag of Nails would also like to proudly announce their late licence - they will be happily serving until 2am on both the Friday and Saturday nights, and midnight on Sunday.

With an appearance from Luke Daniels on the cards, as well as a rumoured appearance from Mr. Tapstone himself - the legendary James from Tapstone - we advise that you get in there early to avoid missing out. Live music on Sunday night is definitely going ahead, they're just not sure yet exactly who it'll be.

A local brewery based in Somerset, Tapstone are renowned for their love of all things hoppy. They've designed their entire brewery to focus on preserving hop oils - a process that's entirely unique to them. They use 100% renewable energy and environmentally-friendly techniques, and everything gets recycled - even their malt sacks are taken by local cavers who use them to dig out the silt from the bottom of Somerset's caves.

Get yourself down to The Bag of Nails this weekend for a care-free weekend of beers, music, mates, cats, and more beers. For more information on the event, check out the Bag of Nails Facebook page or contact them on 07941 521777.
