Where to see Santa in Bristol this Christmas

The Mall, Cribbs Causeway – 12th November – 24th December - £5

 

Open every day from Thursday 12 November until Christmas Eve. Tickets are £5 and include a gift. There is no booking fee and no cost for accompanying adults. Santa can see a maximum of four children at any one time with two accompanying adults. Tickets can be pre-booked online here or purchased on the day from the Winter Wonderland ticket office (subject to availability). The Galleries, City Centre – 6th November – 24th December - £4.50

 

From 6th November 2015, Santa will be arriving in Bristol to take residence in his spectacular Grotto on the ground floor of The Galleries shopping centre. Santa is very much looking forward to meeting the children of Bristol! In order to make your visit as enjoyable as possible, you are able to pre-book your visit online here (this is recommended, as the Grotto can get very busy in the run-up to Christmas!), however you are of course also welcome to visit on the day. Arnos Vale Cemetery – 29th November – 19th December – £8

 

The visit will consist of a magical visit to Santa's ski lodge grotto with a festive woodland walkway accompanied by one of Santa's helpers. Santa will meet with you, read a fun story and might even ask you if you've been good this year! If you would like a few mementos with Santa that's fine and parents or carers are welcome to take photos. Santa's elves will then help you select your present and walk you back down through the festive woodland. The visit includes a high quality gift and instant photo opportunity. Pre book here. 

 

The Grand Pier, Weston Super Mare – 29th November – 24th December - £5

 

Come and see Santa in his magical grotto at the end of the Grand Pier this Christmas!  Santa and his helpers will be landing in their winter wonderland on Saturday 29th November. They will stay there until Christmas Eve, when they must leave to make sure all the Christmas presents are delivered on time! Follow the snowy footprints as you enter the Grand Pier, to guide you to the winter wonderland, with its moving penguins and polar bears. You will be transported down an enchanted path to Santa’s very own grotto.  Santa’s reindeer and his elves will be on hand to make sure you don’t get lost! Santa’s grotto will be open at 11am and admission is £5.00 with each child receiving a wrapped gift. For more information click here.

 

Cadbury Garden Centre -  7th November – 24th December - £8

 

Pop in and become one of his little helpers in his Elf Workshop, where you can make your own festive crafts to treasure forever! Then say hello to the man himself, and take home a special present. This event costs £8. Please book online in advance to avoid disappointment. You can do so by clicking here. 

 

Bristol Zoo – 5th – 17th December - £4/£5

 

Delve into a winter wonderland with Santa’s Grotto at Bristol Zoo. From 5th – 23rd December the whole family can visit Santa in his festive grotto at weekends and during school holidays, from 11.00am - 3.00pm. From 5th - 17th December pre-bookable slots are also available between 4.00pm - 5.30pm to avoid the queues. Group bookings are available at £3 per child for a minimum of 10 children per group between Monday- Friday, 11am - 3pm. A few of Santa’s friends will also be here with reindeer on site and the Zoo will be lit up with various dazzling Christmas animal shaped lights. Downend Round Table - lots of venues in East Bristol - 5th - 20th December 

 

On the back of the huge success of Bristol’s biggest fireworks display, Downend Round Table have now convinced the Big Guy to come to Bristol. He will be touring the eastern side of the city passing on his festive cheer and meeting all the children of the area. His sleigh will make the rounds thanks to a little ‘help’ from Wessex Garages! Avon Valley Railway – 5th – 24th December - £9

 

The Avon Valley Railway has a far more attractive and original idea than the usual Santa trip. Every weekend from late November to Christmas Eve, Father Christmas will be on the steam train at the Avon Valley Railway. Accompanied by his helpers he will make his way along the train, stopping to talk to all the children and, providing they have been good, give them each a quality present. Parents are not neglected as everyone will also receive a delicious mince pie or festive biscuit. The Santa Special experience takes approximately one hour, during which time, from the comfort of your reserved seats, all the family can enjoy the splendid views of the Avon Valley from the old fashioned carriages and experience the unique sights, sounds and smells of a bygone age when steam was king.
