Wahaca Mexican restaurant coming to Bristol in July

Posted on: 01 Jun 2015

Bristolians will get the chance to taste the exquisite flavours of authentic Mexican market and street food when Wahaca opens its restaurant in Bristol in July 2015.

Already a massive hit in London, it marks only its second eatery outside the capital and dispels the usual ghastly gastronomic myths of gut-bustingly heavy burritos and greasy tortillas. Serving up all its dishes from only the finest, freshest and most responsibly sourced ingredients, Wahaca will bring all the carnival, fun, vibrancy and, crucially, tastiness of those food markets from the streets of Mexico to the city of Bristol.

So, what can you expect? How about pork pibil and fish tacos, zingy lime-infused guacamole fired up with shots of 100% agave tequila? Yep, sounds good to us too. Wahaca's Bristol restaurant will also raise the bar when it comes to creating one of its most environmentally friendly buildings, using sustainable materials that will be given the fresh paint-can licks of an as-yet unnamed local graffiti artist.

Wahaca will open on the Triangle in Clifton at some point in July, so regularly check their website for more info and updates.
