Tour de Bristol 2017 in aid of St Peter's Hospice

Posted on: 09 Jan 2017

Back and bigger than ever The St Peter’s Hospice Tour de Bristol returns on Saturday 8th April 2017 for a superb day of cycling and it’s all for a great cause. Cyclists of all abilities are welcomed and three separate distances are available.

Thanks to the huge success of previous events, the Tour de Bristol is back again to give Bristol's cyclists the chance to enjoy a great day's riding while also doing a whole lot of good for a truly deserving Bristol charity.

Whether you occasionally take the bike out a few times a year, you’re a club rider, or even a pro, this event is perfect for all. Three routes are on offer: 35km, 50km and the new 100km - extended for this year after he success of the 75km event. All routes are confirmed as suitable for road, hybrid and mountain bikes. The three options all take a circular trip around North Somerset and through many great little villages and beauty spots.

St Peter’s Hospice is a Bristol charity caring for adults with life-limiting illnesses. They aim to improve the quality of their living and dying while extending care and support to their families and loved ones. They provide physical, psychological and spiritual care for patients in their own homes as well as at the Hospice. St Peter’s Hospice also teaches other healthcare professionals about how to care for people at the end of their lives.

The entrance fees for the courses are priced at £25, £30 and £35 for the 35km, 50km and 100km routes respectively. Fundraising is obviously very much encouraged but isn’t an absolute necessity. Click for tips on fundraising and sponsorship forms for this event.

As you can see, this is a great event both in terms of the cycling, but also the fundraising opportunities for what is a great charity and one close to the hearts of many people in Bristol.
