This Week 09/04-15/04 at Everyman Cinema in Bristol
Posted on: 09 Apr 2018For those needing to be whisked away from reality this week, a multitude of new film releases are available for your viewing pleasure at Bristol’s Everyman Cinema on Whiteladies Road.
New releases include stop-motion animation ‘Isle of Dogs’ from director Wes Anderson, romantic comedy ‘Finding Your Feet’ (with an all star cast led by Imelda Staunton and Celia Imrie), anime fantasy ‘Mary and the Witch’s Flower’, and Steven Spielberg’s ‘Ready Player One’.
‘Love, Simon’, another recent release, tells the story of seventeen-year old Simon Spier - a boy who falls for an anonymous classmate online whilst hiding the secret that he is gay from his parents and friends. Simon is portrayed by Nick Robinson, with rom-com royalty Jennifer Garner playing the part of his mother. This movie is already a massive hit, with ratings of 92% on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.1/10 on IMDb.
A cheeky adaptation of Beatrix Potter’s childhood classic Peter Rabbit will also be on screens this week, with a star cast including Domhnall Gleeson, Rose Byrne and the voice of James Corden bringing to life the story of the mischievous character. A battle ensues when one of Mr. McGregor’s relatives moves into the house whose garden Peter and his sisters frequent, forcing the rabbit to use his wits and cunning to retain their territory.
Tickets are £13.60 (£11.60 concession) and £9.10 for children and can be purchased here.
