The Wills Memorial Building Tours

Posted on: 30 Jul 2014

The Wills Memorial Building officially opened in 1925, it houses the University of Bristol's School of Law and the School of Earth Sciences, whilst also hosting graduation ceremonies twice a year and a whole host of public events.

These tours allow the public to see behind the scenes of the magnificent building and experience the splendour of the Great Hall, Council Chamber and ornate libraries.

The building stands some 68 meters above Park Street, and from the top the views across Bristol are absolutely spectacular. The tour guides are able give a unique insight into the history of the building.

The Building was opened in 1925  by King George V and Queen Mary and despite suffering badly during the Blitz in 1940 it now looks more spectacular than ever.

Tour times

Tours take place on the first Wednesday and Saturday of the month. On Saturdays, they are held every half an hour between 10.30 am and 12 noon. On Wednesday, the first tour is held at 12.15 pm and the second tour is at 12.30 pm.
