The Turn Of The Screw at Arnos Vale in Bristol 18th - 29th October 2017
Posted on: 12 Oct 2017Henry James' classic gothic horror, The Turn of the Screw, has been given a suitably spooky makeover for a new production which runs at Arnos Vale in Bristol from Wednesday 18th to Sunday 29th October 2017.
Created by Red Rope Theatre - the same team that performed their fang-tastic take on 2015's Dracula - and performed in the magnificently macabre and chilling locale of the cemetery, the graveyard chapel will be transformed into the novella's setting of the preternatural house of Bly.
The scene will be set to accompany the Governess as she soon realises she must protect the children of the house from its eerie past and the dead, tortured souls of Peter Quint and Miss Jessop who are intent on possessing the children they previously knew.
Do ghosts really exist? Are the children somehow complicit in the unnerving goings-on in the house? Are you brave enough to experience the story in all its spine-tingly mystery at Arnos Vale on a cold, dark night? Come to your own conclusions in what promises to be another first-rate show performed by a group of consummate players.
