The Three Musketeers at Winterbourne Medieval Farm on Sunday 12th August 2018

Posted on: 10 Jul 2018

Alexandre Dumas' classic tale of swashbuckling and derring-do will get a more frivolous, irreverent take with an off-kilter, quirky adaption which takes place at Winterbourne Medieval Farm on Sunday 12the August 2018. Put on by theatrical group IKP - whose recent performance successes
include Alice in Wonderland, The Wind in the Willows and Three Men in a Boat - this lively, jaunty outdoor theatre take on one of the greatest adventures tales ever told will blend a riotous mix of slapstick, swashbuckling, clever physical humour and a judicious sprinkling of adult-oriented innuendo.

The story follows D'Artagnan, Athos, Porthos and Aramis travelling through France generally being the good men and great heroes they are and
D'Artagnan's relentless one-woman quest to desperately join the merry band of swashbucklers.

Expect a whistle-stop tour around France, a quick trip across the Channel, plenty of frenetic action, rib-tickling moments, authentic period costumes, sword fights aplenty (staged by a specialist combat choreographer), and a show which is energetic, irresistibly rambunctious fun for the whole family.

Never before has this classic adventure yarn been reimagined in a way that's so darned entertaining, irreverent, hilarious and inventive. The
performance will run from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Tickets cost between £8 and £10 and can purchased here.
