The Slow Readers Club coming to Bristol Thekla
Posted on: 15 Nov 2017The Slow Readers Club are a four piece indie-electro band that have a massive following in Manchester and are getting a lot of airplay - now they’re bringing their tour to Bristol this Friday (17th of November.)
Frontman Aaron Starkie said this about the new track: “It’s about feeling at odds with the world, especially politically in recent times, to the point where you feel as though you are losing your mind. There’s also reference to how psychiatry has been used to remove political dissidents from society: “Hard to find a fit, for I know that I’m a lunatic, Sure in days of old, I’d be chained to the floor”’.
They have released several singles and two full length studio albums to date and their remaining dates for the ‘Through the Shadows Tour' are:
17th November - Thekla, Bristol
23rd November - Rescue Rooms, Nottingham [SOLD OUT]
24th November - The Albert Hall, Manchester [SOLD OUT]
9th December - King Tuts, Glasgow [SOLD OUT]
