The Ruff Guide to Shakespeare - Family Friendly Fun at The Redgrave Theatre in Bristol

Posted on: 13 Jul 2016

Family Friendly Shakespeare? No, we've not gone completely mad, we're just talking about The Ruff Guide to Shakespeare which is suitable for ages 6 and up and playing at The Redgrave Theatre in Bristol from 23-24 July 2016!

Commemorating the 400th anniversary of his death, Ruff Guide tells the tale of William Shakespeare (Well, what is known of him of course). Seven actors from The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School will take you on a journey through his life, his plays and the Elizabethan stage. Designed for all the family, this is an inclusive show with audience participation. So, expect some silly songs, daft dance routines and some of his most famous speeches as you learn all about... The Greatest Playwright of All Time!

It''s a great way to get inquisitive minds working and also for parents, siblings and friends to introduce the younger generation to the joys of Shakespeare before some decide they're become 'too cool' at age 14 in English class before they've even given it a chance.

All tickets for the show are just £8 and the performances on both Saturday and Sunday begin at 2:30pm. Tickets can be purchased through the Redgrave Theatre ticketing site. The Redgrave theatre is located at: Percival Road, Clifton, Bristol, BS8 3LE.
