Posted on: 18 Aug 2016Visitors to Brunel's ss Great Britain this weekend can expect to bump in to a whole menagerie of characters from the Victorian period when The Ragged Victorians take over the dockyard on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st August 2016.
Re-enacting the kind of Victorian lower class people you would have bumped into, this award-winning living history group is made up of 15 characters who will be interactively engaging with the sightseers of Brunel's iconic and history-changing masterpiece of nautical engineering.
You'll bump into the likes of dock workers, swindlers, fisherman's wives, policemen, fish seller, char woman and a rat catcher complete with his company of live rats, as they act out fun and entertaining scenes throughout the day.
This fun, experiential piece of live theatre will bring to life even more magnificently the time in which Brunel lived and the kind of people who populated the streets during Victorian times.
