The Mid-Life Kicks & The Superskas at The Tunnels on Friday 1st September 2017

Ska and Punk returns to Bristol in full-on fashion when top tribute bands The Mid-Life Kicks and The Superskas play what promises to be a barnstorming set at The Tunnels in Bristol on Friday 1st September 2017.

The Superskas will be working their way through an impressive jukebox of 2-Tone classics, covering the likes of Desmond Dekker, Toots and the Maytals and, of course, the two titanic, epoch-defining giants of the genre, The Specials and Madness. Comprising a full horn section and male and female vocalists, they band comes with an impressive performing pedigree too, having worked alongside the likes of Damon Albarn, Musical Youth and gigging on the same bill Madness itself.

Also slaking the thirst of the Ska-hungry throng is The Mid-Life Kicks, whose musical genesis was actually conceived after four Bristol-based, self-confessed layabouts decided to band together, play guitars and drums and attempt to sing. It's a formula that has unquestionably worked as they've gone on to curate a huge following, and are regularly cited as one of the most entertaining and authentic tributes to punk and new wave currently performing on the gigging circuit.

Expect an evening of spot-on covers, a frenzied crowd, a modicum of moshing and a frenetic night that will see Ska-inspired energy levels raise the venue's roof.

Tickets are £14 on the door and can be purchased from The Tunnels website here.
