The Lemonheads at Electric Bristol this October

The Lemonheads are set to return to the UK this autumn with a full run of live dates, including a stop at Electric Bristol on 9 October that is already shaping up to be one of the tour’s most talked-about nights.

Led by Evan Dando, the Boston alternative rock band will bring their mix of melodic guitar pop and rough-edged indie rock to the Bristol venue as part of a wider UK and European tour supporting their latest material. For longtime fans, it marks another chance to hear songs that helped define the sound of American alternative music in the early 1990s. For younger audiences, it is an opportunity to experience a band whose influence still runs through modern indie music.

The Lemonheads first emerged from the underground punk scene in the late 1980s before breaking into the mainstream with albums such as It’s a Shame About Ray and Come On Feel the Lemonheads. Tracks including “Into Your Arms”, “Confetti” and “My Drug Buddy” became staples of college radio and MTV alike, blending raw emotion with an effortless pop sensibility.

Their Bristol appearance comes at a time when interest in the band has seen a noticeable revival. Recent releases and live performances have introduced the group to a new generation of listeners, while older fans continue to pack venues for a chance to revisit the soundtrack of their youth.

Electric Bristol, known for hosting major touring acts across the alternative and electronic scenes, is expected to draw a large crowd for the October show.
