Swan Supper Evenings at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre on Friday 11th & Saturday 12th January 2019

Posted on: 10 Jan 2019

Fans of delicious gastronomy and birds with long necks can enjoy a bit of both when WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre hosts a series of special Swan Supper Evenings, the first of which are taking place on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th January 2019.

A great combo for those with a penchant for culinary excellence and Her Maj's most revered and protected of birds - swans, naturally - and wildlife in general, it'll be a pleasant new year treat for those craving to unwind after the festive season's stresses and strains.

On arrival you'll get a glass of mulled cider to sip as you watch the swans, geese and ducks glide past the heated Peng Conservatory and get fed on the floodlit lake.  One of the wardens will also provide an informative audio commentary about each of the species before you then make your way to the Kingfisher Kitchen to tuck into your own awesome two-courser, followed by tea/coffee and mints.

One of the more chilled out, serene ways to enjoy early January, the event runs from 6.15pm to 9.15pm. And fear not if you miss the first of these Swan Supper Evenings, others will take place on 18th & 19th January, 25th & 26th January, 1st & 2nd February and 9th February.

Booking is essential, and tickets cost £29.95 per person or £26.95 per person for group bookings of 12 or more and can be reserved here.
