sleepmakeswaves at The Exchange in Bristol on 19 March 2015

Melodic post-rockers, sleepmakeswaves, will be playing a Bristol gig at The Exchange on 19th March 2015.

From their inception in 2006, sleepmakeswaves have continually delivered their unique brand of textured ambient post-rock. Their songs combine delicate beauty with dramatic climaxes, blending together to create a dynamic and emotive repertoire of tracks.

The band’s last album, ‘Love Of Cartography’, follows their ARIA-nominated debut ‘...and so we destroyed everything’. Love of Cartography sees the band taking their sound in an interesting direction, but with no painful deviation from their incredible signature sound. The album is memorable, awe-inspiring, and beautiful – filled with tracks that could only be enhanced when experienced live.

Rock N Rolla: "Where so many post-rock bands submit their compositions to the organic chaos of reverb saturation and energy excess Love of Cartography is the product of precise mechanics and painstakingly dialled in FX."

Big Cheese Mag: "The delicate interludes are all nothing new by stretch, yet this is a record that I will return to again and again."

Over the last few years, sleepmakeswaves have undertaken 8 tours of their native Australia, 3 tours of Europe, and tours with 65daysofstatic and Karnivool. With a devoted following around the world for their innovative and expansive music, coupled with an electrifying live show, the future looks bright for this young instrumental quartet.

The Bristol gig is on the 19th March at The Exchange. Tickets are available at www.ents24.com/uk/tour-dates/Sleepmakeswaves
