Shaggy is playing an exclusive Bristol live show in July

Mr Boombastic himself will be stopping off for one night only in July.

 

Internationally-renowned artist Shaggy has announced a Bristol show as part of a two-date mini-tour, set to arrive at the O2 Academy on Wednesday 20 July.

 

A pioneering dancehall, raggae and pop icon, Shaggy is a multi-Grammy-Award-winning, diamond-selling artist, having collaborated with the likes of Sting, Janet Jackson, Cardi B and many, many more across a glittering career.

Responsible for global hits such as 'Wasn't Me', 'Angel' and 'Boombastic', Shaggy is undoubtedly one of the most iconic artists of the 21st century. 

 

Hitting a peak in the early 2000s, Shaggy has built on his pop credentials in recent years with a string of well-received collaborations, working alongside an array of esteemed artists since 2010.

 

The Jamaican vocalist, songwriter and producer also boasts a solid reputation on the reggae scene, releasing music with the likes of Toots and the Maytals, Barrington Levy, Maxi Priest and more over the years.

 

Since debuting with Pure Pleasure in 1993, Shaggy has released an impressive 16 solo albums, as well as a critically-acclaimed collaborative project with Sting in 2018.

 

He'll be arriving in Bristol as part of a two-date showcase hosted in collaboration with Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, which will also include a performance at O2 Academy Sheffield on Friday 22 July.
