Formed in Glasgow by singer Sharleen Spiteri and bassist Johnny McElhone, Texas' hit debut single 'I Don't Want A Lover' was the launching point for an illustrious musical career upon its release in 1989.
Becoming mainstays in the UK charts with further hit tracks like 'Say What You Want' and 'Halo', as well as classic albums such as Southside and The Hush, Texas have secured their legacy with an array of well-received releases.
Now, armed with new material from their Top Three 2021 album, Hi, Texas will be performing at Forest Live for the first time since their first-ever appearance in the series, back in 2011.
Forest Live is a major outdoor live music series that celebrates and helps to safeguard the beauty of natural woodland areas around the UK.
Almost two million people have attended Forest Live gigs since their launch in 2000, with ticket costs going towards vital conservation and environmental work.
To date, the concert series has enabled Forestry England to continue supporting the nation's 1500 woodland and forest areas, and maintain natural spaces to welcome millions of visitors every year.
As part of this year's series, Texas will be performing at Cannock Chase Forest and Thetford Forest either side of their Westonbirt Arboretum show on Sunday 12 June.
