Saturday Baking Club at Cooking It! on Saturday 17th March 2018
Posted on: 16 Mar 2018Mini Mary Berrys and junior Jamie Olivers in the city can pop on their aprons and flour those worktops as part of a special child-oriented baking course at Cooking It! in Bristol on Saturday 17th March 2018.
The Saturday Baking Club will give the region's little un's the perfect chance to hone their cooking and baking skills for a three hour session of fun that will cover the gamut of baking essentials, including top tips on how to cook bread, cakes, biscuits, pizzas, quiches and puddings.
Running from 2pm to 5pm and held as small classes of 6 children between 8 and 12 years old - although youngsters with a working familiarity with cooking and the kitchen can also be accommodated - this is the ideal opportunity for them to build on one of the most basic and fundamental life skills of being able to prepare and cook.
Artisan, world and gluten-free will cover the bread baking bases, while puddings will indulge the fervent sweet tooth with some of the most famous indulgences gleaned from many a well-thumbed dessert list such as creme caramel, Eton Mess and sticky toffee pudding.
A bake-liscious, hands-on session that will incorporate a wide range of baking and decorating techniques, this is a 3 hour bake-fest that will enthuse, inform, entertain and educate those diminutive budding bakers of Bristol.
