Santas on the Run is back: here’s how to get involved

Posted on: 14 Sep 2019

Raise Christmas cheer in your Santa gear: the fancy dress fun run in aid of Children’s Hospice South West returns for 2019.

On Saturday 8 December, join hundreds of Santa-impersonators for a festive charity run around Bristol Harbourside.

Grab an entry ticket (which includes a free Santa costume), drum up some sponsorship, and away you go!

Kicking off at Lloyds Amphitheatre, participants can run, jog, skip or walk their way around the easy-peasy 2K course. The route is accessible for sturdy wheelchairs and buggies.

On the day, head down to Lloyds Amphitheatre from 11:00 to register. After that, find face painters, Santa’s Grotto, resident DJs and run-fuelling refreshments. The fun run kicks off at 13:00!

But before then, you’ll need to grab an entry ticket and some sponsors. Here's how.

Entry tickets are available on the Children's Hospice website. You can get discounted early bird tickets on the Children’s Hospice South West website until 14 October!

Entry tickets include a full Santa suit (so you won’t need to splash out) and an end-of-race medal.

In the fun run spirit, Santas are also asked to raise some money for the charity. Adult Santas should look to raise £30, and littler Santas are asked to raise £20.

Rainbow Run in Exeter: Children’s Hospice South West organises a range of events year-round.

Children’s Hospice South West care for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and provide expert support to their families.

There’s loads of hints, tips and tricks about how to fundraise on the website, so getting sponsors should be a doddle. Christmas spirit is all about giving, after all!
