Resale tickets made available for Elton John at Ashton Gate
Posted on: 08 Jun 2022The legendary singer-songwriter, known for hits such as ‘Candle In The Wind’ and ‘Rocket Man’, is visiting Bristol as part of his farewell tour.
Elton John will play a double header at the South Bristol stadium on Wednesday 22 and Sunday 26 June.
Despite the two shows originally selling out a long time ago, a slew of resale and extra tickets have been made available for two gigs that are likely to prove just as popular as The Killers’ appearance at Ashton Gate last month.

Elton John is among the UK's most successful musicians of all time, selling over 300 million records worldwide across a musical career spanning more than half a century.
The esteemed vocalist, pianist and composer is Responsible for a long line of smash hit singles and albums, his legacy of earworms features such UK music staples as 'I’m Still Standing', 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight', 'Don’t Go Breaking My Heart' and 'Tiny Dancer'.
Having kicked off in 2018, the ever-popular hit maker’s ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road' tour represents his biggest to date, set to include more than 300 shows worldwide over the course of three years. The 74-year-old has recently revealed that he’s returning to his epic run of gigs after a brief period at home resting.
As well as Bristol, the worldwide tour will see him visit a plethora of UK football stadiums as well as Ashton Gate (apt considering the singer's love of football) including Anfield in Liverpool and Vicarage Road - the home of Elton John's beloved Watford FC (see below).

The singer’s upcoming double header can be added to the long list of musical heavyweights that have played at Bristol City’s home over the last few years.
In May this year Las Vegas rockers The Killers took to the stage and back in 2019 beloved boyband Take That, Devonshire prog-rock group Muse and 90s superstars Spice Girls all played huge shows in front of packed crowds.
While tickets for Elton John’s upcoming shows did originally sell out, presale tickets are now available to purchase from £103.50 for Wednesday 22 and £71.50 for Sunday 26 June. Tickets can be found here.
