Planetarium Nights at At-Bristol

Throughout March 2016 there will be some special events taking place at the UK’s first and most advanced 3D planetarium. With three different options each evening there’s sure to be something for everyone.

 

 

The evenings will take place on March 10, 17, 24 and 31, all of which are Thursdays and the line-up is as follows...
 

6:30pm - Exploring the Solar System 3D


Take a trip into space using the UK’s most advanced Planetarium! A presenter will fly you to the incredible worlds in our Solar System, using a state of the art digital projection system to investigate the Earth, Sun, Moon, planets… and more! This awe-inspiring and totally immersive show is a fantastic introduction to astronomy. 

 

7:45pm - Spring Stargazing 3D


An enthusiastic and knowledgeable presenter will use the most advanced Planetarium in the UK to guide you around the Spring night sky. Fly to exotic moons in our Solar System and discover how to find the famous constellations Ursa Major the Great Bear, and Leo the Lion. This show is ideal for beginner or intermediate stargazers, and is not to be missed!

 

9pm - Dream to Fly 3D


Discover the mystery of flight with Leonardo da Vinci, Montgolfier brothers, Wright brothers and other inventors. Experience the adventure and find out how this immense and challenging dream, for which mankind has strived since the beginning of history came true. Rich fulldome visuals, beautiful music composed for the show and a poetic narration makes this show an exceptional artwork. Dream to Fly 3D was produced by the Heavens of Copernicus Planetarium in Warsaw. Dream to Fly is being shown throughout March as part of St George's The Art of Flight festival

 

Tickets are available at £7 when pre-booked or £8 on the door. To book please call 0117 915 1000 (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm) or pop in to the foyer. Online tickets will be available soon. Discounts are available for concessions, members and large groups.
