Posted on: 10 Jul 2018Plunge into the weird and wonderful world of quantum physics this Thursday 12th July 2018 at The Loco Klub in Bristol for a fascinating talk entitled Physics For Beginners.
Hosted by Michael Brooks - journalist, broadcaster, consultant to New Scientist magazine, author of the best-selling 13 Things That Don't Make Sense, and, appropriately enough, holder of a PhD in quantum physics - the origins and oddities of the subject will be examined and discussed in a thrilling, exciting and enlightening way, revealing how scientists believe there's a whole lot more to the world than meets the eye.
Quantum theory itself informs us there's an entire reality outside and beyond our normal day-to-day existence, that the atoms in our body can exist in two or more places at once, and that the intriguing notion of quantum entanglements allows us to influence each other across the universe. And that's not even touching on the theory of 'quantum uncertainty', which may hold the secrets and the key to our very existence. Mind-blowing stuff, eh?
