Bristol’s Arnos Vale Cemetery will host an alfresco screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens this evening, which just happens to be May 4th. We’ll let you make the joke yourself…

It is a period of great excitement. Star Wars fans, gathering from throughout Bristol, have won their first victory since the release of Rogue One.

During the evening, they will gather at Arnos Vale Cemetery for an open-air screening of The Force Awakens to coincide with a celebration of what is now being dubbed ‘Star Wars Day’.

Reignite your excitement for The Last Jedi by reliving the adventure of Rey, Finn and a host of favourites, old and new, in the most dramatic of settings. Food and drink will be available from the ever-mouth-watering Kate’s Kitchen.

45 acres of quiet tranquility offer a respite from the general hustle and bustle of the city, and the site is significant as being a place of heritage which features many monuments of local and global importance as well as historic listed buildings. Now looked after by the Arnos Vale Cemetery Trust, Arnos Vale Cemetery (above) is a truly unique location and is one of the city's best-kept secrets.

Gates open at 7.30pm, with the film beginning at 8.45pm. Tickets cost £11 and can be bought here.
