No Dig Gardening Talk with Charles Dowding at The Space in Keynsham

Posted on: 22 Mar 2019

Bristol's heady horticulturalists are in for an insightful, illuminating talk by gardening expert Charles Dowding, who will be hosting a special presentation with his No Dig Gardening Talk at The Space in Keynsham, Bristol on Tuesday 26th March 2019.

Dowding has been honing his gardening craft for over 35 years so this is a chap who, quite literally, knows his onions when it comes to efficient green-fingered methods. He'll present an hour-and-20-minute illustrated talk and will invite questions from the audience afterwards.

No dig gardening is exactly that and most likely a big draw for organic, allotment and vegetable growers. Charles will talk about how to create healthy soil for easier harvests, maintaining your plots, clearing perennial weeds, keeping your soil healthy, buying and using different composts, and top tips on hoeing and hand weeding. His collection of photos will incontrovertibly demonstrate his tried and tested techniques work and yield incredible results.

Light refreshments will be available before and after the talk. You can also buy a raffle ticket, with one of the prizes being a One Day Course at Charles' garden in Alhampton, near Castle Cary, Somerset.  All proceeds from the talk will go to St Peter's Hospice, Bristol.

Top no dig gardening tips begin at 7.30pm, finishing 9.30pm. It's an open seating event. Tickets cost £12 and can be purchased here.
