Lucy Rose to host special evening at Bristol’s Arnolfini gallery
Posted on: 25 May 2017The exquisitely-voiced songwriter is to host an event called ‘Something’s Changing’, which combines a screening of her new film and performances of new material, on the 21st July at the Arnolfini.

Lucy Rose is the acoustic guitar-toting singer with a voice both delicate and beautiful enough to befit her namesake, and has used it to gild a pair of quality records. And now, having released Like I Used To and Work It Out in 2012 and 2015 respectively, details have been released about a follow-up.
Something’s Changing will be released on the 7th July via Communion Records, having been recorded over 17 days with producer Tim Bidwell. The pretentionless process reflects a marked change in direction for Rose, who spent last spring in South America with her backpack and her guitar, playing free shows and staying with fans.
As well as documenting this experience in this third album, Rose made a film of the same name – which will be aired at the Arnolfini on Friday 21st July. The showing of the film will be attended by its creator, who will be on hand to subsequently perform a live set consisting of songs from the album.
The film will run from 7.30pm – 8pm, with Rose’s performance starting at 8.30pm.
