Liquid Sky at Circomedia on Saturday 2nd March 2019

Sonic art and aerial circus will combine for an exhilarating new piece of visual theatre - Liquid Sky - being performed at Circomedia in Bristol on Saturday 2nd March 2019.

Along with laser light scenography, this fusion of disciplines will pay homage to a plethora of cult 80s films through the use of laser effects and a presentation which also takes inspiration from Doris Lessing's feminist sci-fi novel, The Marriages Between Zones Three, Four and Five', depicting the ultimate, epic desire for escape and enlightenment.

Immersive, thought-provoking, visceral and stimulating, the performance will create an otherworldly environment that will  invoke the live set of hypnotising vocals and pulsating synthetic hymns to a point that 'will raise the congregation into a fizzing euphoria'.

If that all doesn't pique your interest then we don't know what will, as this seems to be a kind of sci-fi, utopian-searching, all-encompassing enmeshment of sound, image, visual theatre, 80s cult-infused tropes and a Saturday afternoon probably unlike any other you'll experience for quite a while.

Liquid Sky is presented in conjunction with Circomedia and Submerge: Bristol International Digital Arts Festival. The show runs from 8pm to 9.30pm and the show is suitable for ages 12+. Tickets cost £14/£11 and can be purchased here.

Circomedia is located at St Paul's Church, Portland Square, Bristol, BS2 8SJ.  Tel. 0117 924 7615
