Legendary singer-songwriter Al Stewart is bringing his ‘Farewell Tour’ to Bristol

Al Stewart’s ‘Farewell Tour’ will drop by Bristol Beacon’s Beacon Hall on Tuesday 14 October 2025.
As Stewart approaches his 80th birthday next year, the ‘Year of the Cat’ star - who has collaborated with some of music’s biggest stars - plans to celebrate the occasion with a final bumper tour of the United Kingdom, winding down his extensive touring schedule with The Empty Pockets band.

Born in Glasgow, Al Stewart rose to stardom as part of the legendary British folk revival of the 60s and 70s, developing a unique combination of folk-rock tunes and delicately woven tales of events from history alongside the cast of intriguing characters involved in them.
His first album, Bedsitter Images, came in 1967 and his most recent is 2008’s Sparks of Ancient Light. Stewart is known best for ‘Year of the Cat’ from the eponymous Platinum album, but his career has seen him play the first Glastonbury, collaborate with Yoko Ono, share an apartment with Paul Simon and work with Jimmy Page, Phil Collins and more.
Over the years, Stewart has performed numerous sold-out shows across the US and UK. On his current run of shows, he continues to perform such fan favourites as ‘Year of the Cat’, ‘Time Passages’, ‘On The Border’, and ‘Modern Times’ alongside deep cuts from his extensive catalogue of almost 20 albums.
In addition to Bristol, Al Stewart’s 2025 UK ‘Farewell Tour’ will drop by venues in Bournemouth, Manchester, Gateshead, York, Liverpool, Cambridge, Guildford, Birmingham and London.
