Pioneering grime MC Dizzee Rascal will also be returning to Bristol in June, having played a surprise set at Cabot Circus earlier this year. The former Mercury Prize winner has released such hits as ‘Bonkers’, ‘Bassline Junkie’, ‘Fix Up, Look Sharp’ and ‘Dance Wiv Me’ across a decorated career.
Award-winning dancehall/rap star Stefflon Don is also on the BS3 lineup, as is a certified Bristol music legend and another Mercury Prize winner, Roni Size. A pioneering figure in UK dance music, the born and bred Bristolian is one of the most celebrated and prolific junglists around. The new wave of artists is completed by one of the most successful UK R&B bands of the 90s Damage, London-based festival regulars House Gospel Choir and Bristol’s very own rising R&B and hip-hop star, Krush.
It’s sure to be a bombastic day, and real value for the calibre of artists on offer. You don’t have long until the festival takes place on Saturday 22 June – just a week. Move quick and get your tickets here.
