Jeremy Corbyn to visit Bristol this week

Jeremy Corbyn is to speak in Bristol this week, it has been confirmed by local news outlets.
As reported by the Bristol Post, the leader of the opposition will appear at an gathering of Labour Party members in Filton on Friday, with the audience representing Mr Corbyn’s first visit to Bristol since the General Election on the 8th June – which saw Bristol turn entirely red for the first time since 2001.
He had been due to appear at a rally in support of Bristol’s NHS one week before the election on the 31st May, but was forced to pull out in order to take part in the BBC’s televised leaders’ debate.
Though details of Mr Corbyn’s appearance have been closely guarded, it is understood that the event will be for Labour Party members exclusively and therefore not open to the public.
