It’s your last chance to register for Santas on the Run 2019

Posted on: 04 Dec 2019

Raise Christmas cheer in your Santa gear: the fancy dress fun run in aid of Children’s Hospice South West returns this weekend.

On Sunday 8 December, join hundreds of Santa-impersonators for a festive charity run around Bristol Harbourside.

But you’ve got to be quick! Registration to take part in this year’s fun-filled race closes tomorrow (Thursday 5 December) at midday.

Kicking off at Lloyds Amphitheatre, participants can run, jog, skip or walk their way around the easy-peasy 2K course. The route is accessible for sturdy wheelchairs and buggies.

So, how does it work?

Purchase your entry ticket and register for the race before 12:00 tomorrow, Thursday 5 December 2019.

Adult entry tickets cost £16 per person, whilst Child tickets cost £8 per person. Children ages 3-15 can only take part with a participating adult. (An entry ticket includes a full Santa suit and an end-of-race medal, so you won't need to splash out!)

In the meantime, drum up some sponsorship. Adults should aim to raise £30, and children should aim to raise £20 each.

On the day (which is this weekend, Sunday 8 December) head down to Lloyds Amphitheatre from 11:00 and confirm your attendance at the registration point.

Before the run kicks off at 13:00, get dressed into your Santa suit, and enjoy activities at the event village. They’ll be face painting, Santa’s Grotto, resident DJs and refreshments.

There’s loads of hints, tips and tricks about how to fundraise on the website, so getting sponsors should be a doddle. Christmas spirit is all about giving, after all!
