Idlside at The Thunderbolt in Bristol - Thursday 2 June 2016

Posted on: 01 Jun 2016

Idlside are an exciting and intriguing indie 5-piece from Bristol/Bath. Well worth a turn-of-the-head, catch them at The Thunderbolt on Thursday 2 June 2016 along with some great support.

Idlside's high-energy, punchy-pop offerings are infectious. They make you want to press 'repeat', which is a pretty tough thing to boast these days. Don't take our word for it though, check out their new EP Something To Say on Soundcloud

This year, the band have supported VANT, Model Aeroplanes, The Ramona Flowers and Scout Killers. Undoubtedly great through headphones, it will be great to see how this translates to the stage. They've gained rave reviews from their previous shows and this latest Bristol gig should be no different, and fingers crossed it raises their profile and gains them the new fans the quality of their EP demands. Check them out at www.idlside.com and via their Facebook and Twitter pages.

The rest of the bill looks like this...

Last Hyena: Three piece all out instrumental Postrock Math band, based in Bristol. Influences Foals/Wolf Alice/Don Broco/Incubus/Black Peaks

The Fumes: Young South Bristol garage rock 4 piece.

Laurie McMahon: Singer-songwriter from Bristol. Last year supported Matt Owens from Noah and the whale. Influences include Jake Bugg, Jamie T and the Charlatans.
