The Headliner

Making a Gigantic debut for one of the iconic legends of indie and indie dance, Peter Hook & The Light will headline our All Dayer in 2026. Peter Hook first revisited the seminal Joy Division album Unknown Pleasures back in May 2010 for a commemorative charity concert and has followed it each year by performing subsequent albums from the repertoire of his bands, Joy Division and New Order. His dedication to his back catalogue has now seen him move through ‘Unknown Pleasures’, ‘Closer’, ‘Still’, ‘Movement’, ‘Power Corruption & Lies’, ‘Low Life’, ‘Brotherhood’, ‘Technique’, ‘Republic’ and ‘Substance’ and ‘Get Ready’ (in 2025). Having toured the albums extensively since, Peter Hook & The Light have now amassed over 800 concerts and a deservedly committed following in the process. Having proven his live chops with headline shows at major venues all over the world, Hooky will be performing a set of both New Order and Joy Division classics - and airing one of the most killer catalogues in music in the process.

Across 10+ hours of phenomenal music, you can look forward to a wealth of huge tracks from Stourbridge stalwarts 'The Wonder Stuff'. Emerging from the intense indie scene of 1986, the band quickly established themselves as one of the era’s most defining forces in British alternative rock. Their debut album ‘The Eight Legged Groove Machine’ (1988) and its successor ‘Hup’ (1989) earned critical acclaim and fan fervour—with the later peaking at No.?5 in the UK and featuring standout tracks like “Golden?Green” and “Don’t Let Me Down, Gently”. As they entered the 90s, ‘Never Loved Elvis’ (1991) proved to be a huge breakthrough for the band, denting the UK Top 3 off the back of huge singles likes “The Size of a Cow” (a UK No.?5) and their No.1 Vic Reeves collaboration “Dizzy”. 1993 follow-up ‘Construction for the Modern Idiot’ (No.4) also continued their chart momentum. Following a hiatus in 1994, the band have had a busy 21st Century, with acclaimed records like ‘Escape from Rubbish Island’ (2004), ‘Suspended by Stars’ (2006), ‘Oh No It’s… The Wonder Stuff’ (2012), and Top 40 hit ‘30 Goes Around the Sun’ (2016), evidencing a band in creative form and as in-demand as ever. As Miles Hunt, Malcolm Treece, Erica Nockalls et al, prepare to mark their 40th Anniversary next year, expect a special performance as the band have confirmed they will be playing ‘All The Bangers’ prepared especially for the Gigantic crowd.

Back due to popular demand for his second consecutive Gigantic, is the singular: 'Jim Bob'. Arguably the indie scene’s greatest renaissance man, Jim has led a fascinating and varied career. Cutting his teeth as frontman of Carter USM, Jim totalled a whopping fourteen top 40 singles and four top ten albums (including a UK No.1), toured the world, and even headlined Glastonbury. Ploughing his own furrow since then, Jim Bob’s impressive solo career has seen him release 14+ solo albums, write songs for Ian Dury, make his acting debut at the Edinburgh Fringe in the musical ‘Gutted’, and author six published novels and two memoirs. With his popularity amongst his fanbase as rabid as ever, Jim Bob’s last three albums: ‘Pop Up Jim Bob’, ‘Who Do We Hate Today’ and ‘Thanks for Reaching Out’ were all top forty smashes, while his ‘Beach Ready Ep’ was Number 1 in both the Vinyl and Physical sales Singles charts. In creative form and fine fettle, Jim Bob has readied not just one, but TWO new albums for Summer 2025. Catch this indie polymath playing tunes from new records 'Automatic' and 'Stick’, as well as highs from across his career at Gigantic 2026.

Earlier in the evening, THE BLUETONES will take to the stage to reignite your passion for a classic Britpop anthem. Bursting onto the scene in 1995 with their standout Top 40 debut “Are You Blue Or Are You Blind?”, they went on to clock up 14 hit singles, including “Slight Return”, “Marblehead Johnson”, “Solomon Bites the Worm”, “If…”, and “Keep the Home Fires Burning”. After releasing six acclaimed albums during their initial run, the band reunited with their original line-up in 2015 and returned last year with their first new material in 15 years, the ‘Drive Thru’ EP. Still renowned as one of the UK’s most reliable and electrifying guitar bands—and with more new music on the horizon—expect THE BLUETONES to deliver a huge set at Gigantic next year.

Before there was Britpop, there was proto-Britpop. And fittingly placed before the Bluetones, Gigantic is delighted to welcome back the endlessly inspiring sounds of 'The House Of Love'. Rising from the chaotic crossfire of sounds of the late 1980s and early 1990s, The House of Love arrived like a ray of light to release their critically acclaimed self-titled debut on Creation Records in 1988.  Earning cult acclaim with transcendent early singles such as “Shine On”, “Christine” and “Destroy The Heart”, the band eventually broke through to the mainstream when they signed to Fontana Recordings, and released a series of stunning studio albums such as ‘The House of Love’, ‘Babe Rainbow’, and ‘Audience with the Mind’. With Guy Chadwick still at the helm, catch The House of Love making a rare live performance to savour at the Gigantic All Dayer 2026.

And if you’re up for a proper rave, Yorkshire house music heavyweights UTAH SAINTS will kick things off in style. Over the years, the globally acclaimed duo have notched up nine UK Top 40 hits—four of them breaking into the Top 10—and sold more than two million records worldwide. True pioneers of sampling in dance music, their “Cloudbusting”-inspired classic “Something Good” remains a timeless dancefloor anthem. With over 3,000 DJ sets and live shows under their belts—from underground clubs to festival main stages, including supporting U2 on the Zooropa stadium tour—they know exactly how to ignite a crowd. Whatever the hour, they’ll get the party started, so make sure you’re there early to see these masters in action at Gigantic ‘26.

And the honour of cutting the mighty ribbon for Gigantic next year will fall to Leeds indie legends: CUD. Fun-loving, light-hearted, romantic and downright catchy, the band were forever John Peel favourites and scored a trio of Top 40 hits including "Rich & Strange", "Purple Love Balloon" and "Neurotica" in their prime. Continuing the winning form of their 2006 reunion over two decades later, their huge live following remains to this day, with their army of ‘Space CUDets’ still eager to sing along, dance like fruitcakes, and seek-out a stage invasion whenever the moment takes them. Chew the CUD and guzzle down their gargantuan tunes at The Prospect Building next May.

And if that wasn’t enough, bringing the bangers from daylight until darkness, your Gigantic hosts MARC & JASE JONES will be behind the decks; joined by fellow vintage indie connoisseurs SHIIINE ON DJ’S - it’s going to be large.
