One of the city’s most popular spots for vegan treats, Future Doughnuts, has recently joined the numerous popular independent restaurants added to the BARBI App – the delivery app developed by Bristol, for Bristol.
Future Doughnuts opened in September 2021 and have quickly established themselves as one of Bristol’s most in demand plant-based restaurants, offering a diverse selection of doughnuts as well as excellent coffee.
Located on Oxford Street, St Phillips, the doughnuts and coffee shop’s proximity to Temple Meads Train Station makes them the perfect destination for commuters. Serving fresh produce from 11AM every day, Future Doughnuts provide both inside and undercover outside seating.

All doughnuts, fillings and toppings are made inhouse using mostly organic ingredients and the coffee served is sourced from some of the venue’s favourite UK roasteries. The venue’s delicious menu includes:
STRAWBERRY SPRINKLES: A sourdough ring doughnut topped with real strawberry icing and sprinkles.
LEMON MERINGUE PIE: A sourdough doughnut filled with zesty lemon curd, topped with fluffy meringue.
10x CINNAMON HOLES: Bit-sized sourdough pieces doused in cinnamon sugar.
CINNAMON SUGAR RING: Sourdough ringed doughnut covered in cinnamon sugar.
COOKIES & CREAM: Vanilla milk glaze topped with dark cocoa cookie crumble.
MILLIONAIRE’S SHORTBREAD: Filled with caramel custard and topped with a chocolate ganache and shortbread crumbs.
PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY: Filled with strawberry jam, topped with a peanut butter glaze and crushed peanuts.
BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE: Ring topped with a blueberry glaze and compote, a swirl of cheesecake frosting and shortbread crumb.
GINGERBREAD BAKED BUTTERMILK DOUGHNUT: With coconut sugar and agave syrup instead of refined sugars, this spiced cake doughnut is topped with cream cheese and a gingerbread man.
BISCOFFISH BAKED BUTTERMILK DOUGHNUT: A baked buttermilk-style doughnut spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and allspice. Topped with vanilla buttercream and crushed speculoos biscuit.

Offering commission rates of just 15% per order - down from as much as 35% from leading delivery apps - BARBI are looking to safeguard the future of Bristol's hospitality industry with the BARBI App, ensuring independents keep a much larger share of their income.
The BARBI team hope that their new app will loosen the grip that major corporations like Uber and Deliveroo currently have on the industry, with a view to expand to table booking, event ticket sales, discounts and local news features in the future.
As well as reducing fees for businesses, the app is also offering improved wages and rates for delivery riders and drivers.
Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and in an industry made up of more than 30,000 people and over 1,800 establishments in Bristol alone, support for independent businesses and the local economy is more important than ever.
