From The Jam to perform live on Weston-super-Mare's iconic Grand Pier on Friday 29th March

Posted on: 19 Mar 2019

Rock and punk outfit From The Jam will rattle the boards of Weston-super-Mare's iconic Grand Pier when they play there on Friday 29th March 2019.

Blistering with angry young man energy and fast tempos (juxtaposed with their smartly tailored suits), The Jam was at the forefront of the Mod Revival movement of the 1970s and 80s, incorporating elements of rock, R&B, punk and American Motown.

However, 1982 saw the departure of Paul Weller to start Style Council, but that didn't deter the remaining Jam members who swiftly reformed and tweaked the name of the band to From The Jam.  Original band members now include Bruce Foxton on bass and Russell Hastings on guitar and lead vocals.

Expect, then, a rollicking performance of hits from The Jam's audacious and classic back catalogue such as Start, Going Underground, Strange Town, In The City, Down in the Tube Station at Midnight and Town Called Malice.

Supported by talented Southwest covers band Reoffender, start your weekend with a slew of timeless rock and punk classics at one of the region's most emblematic landmarks. Ticket prices start at £23 and can be purchased here.

Grand Pier is located at Marine Parade, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1AL.  For more information or with any further queries, contact the organisers on 01934 620 238.
