Don't miss the big Bristol Christmas lights switch-on at The Mall this weekend!
Posted on: 16 Nov 2018It'll be a magical time at The Mall in Bristol on Saturday 17th November 2018 for a tinsel-tastic treat, the Christmas Kingdom Spectacular and brand-new Christmas lights switch-on.
An immersive theatrical event that will combine storytelling with skating, dancing, crafts and, naturally, Santa himself, it will all conclude with a mesmerizing show incorporating incredible aerial acts and spectacular fireworks.
From 11am to 4.30pm families can plunge into Florabelle's fabulous word of flowers, visit the Realm of Sweets and the rather greedy Madame Humbug, gawp in awe at the talented ice dancers on the rink, enjoy craft Crimbo gifts in the realm of snowflakes, and say hello to the Snow Queen in the Magical Sensory Zone.
From 4.30pm-6pm you can catch an awesome live stage show enthral the festive multitudes that will lead to an incredible firework display and the eventual switch-on of The Mall's Christmas lights.
Throughout the day from 11am-9pm, you can also visit that portly purveyor of prezzies, Santa himself in his enchanted ice castle; ride on the vintage carousel and helter-skelter, and glide gracefully - or collapse clumsily, depending on your ice-skating adeptness - across the region's largest outdoor ice rink.
