Dia de las Muertos, or the Day of the Dead Festival at Bristol Museum

Bristol Museum and Art Gallery will be hosting a celebration for Dia de las Muertos, or the Day of the Dead Festival in Bristol on Saturday 31 October 2015.

 

Honouring Mexican tradition, the festival will be a day of colourful and educational activities at Bristol Museum, including face painting, puppetry, and an array of real artefacts from Mexico.

Bring along the whole family and create Day Of The Dead themed crafts, add your memories of loved ones to the colourful shrine, and enjoy the vibrant sounds of Mariachi from a live band.

 

There will be a guided tour through Bristol that documents the change in attitudes toward death over time, and how learning to die well might be the key to a good life.

This event is free but donations are encouraged to help with the upkeep of the museum.
