Clifton Cathedral to host magical re-imagining of Oscar Wilde classic on Wednesday 5th June
Posted on: 30 May 2019Oscar Wilde's classic tale The Selfish Giant will get a magical musical re-imagining when it's performed at Clifton Cathedral in Bristol on Wednesday 5th June 2019.
Step into the incredible world of the massive, mean ogre himself who builds a wall to prevent kids playing in his garden. However, when it's plunged into a never-ending, cold and frosty winter, the giant sees the error of his selfish ways and lets them back in to play once again.
Fun and exciting, this version is a collaboration of children from a variety of Bristol schools who will perform Richard Jeffrey-Gray's musical interpretation of the much-loved Wilde classic. Martin le Poidevin will take on the role as the big, mean giant.
