Bristol Sausage and Cider Festival 2017

Posted on: 16 Mar 2017

Sometimes Bristol just gets things right. Nothing says 'West Country' quite like a festival dedicated to cider and sausages. Friday 4th & Saturday 5th August will see just that being held at The Passenger Shed next to Temple Meads train station. Tickets are now available and selling fast.

Bristol, the West Country and the wider cider-making community will all be well represented over this weekend of merriment. Real cider for real cider-lovers. A HUGE selection of ciders will be available to suit all tastes. There will also be bottled sparkling craft cider from CiderBods - www.ciderbods.co.uk - the online store for real cider drinkers, served ice cold.

As the name would suggest, the vast majority of the food is sausage-based and we couldn’t be happier. Artisan producers will descend on the iconic Brunel-designed Bristol venue to peddle their wares to the hoards of hungry visitors and there will be plenty of vegetarian options too. The 2016 event was notable for its great atmosphere and 2017 is expected to be even better.

Tickets are £6 in advance or £8 on the door. Last year's event was such a success that a new token-based purchasing system has been brought in to ensure you get your drinks as quickly as possible! Instead of paying with cash or card you will use pre-bought tokens - each token is worth half a pint. Tokens can be bought in advance and cost £9 for 5 tokens. On the day it will set you back £10 for 5 or you can purchase 11 tokens for £20. A selection of bottled beer, lager, wine and soft drinks will also be available. Tickets and tokens are available by clicking here.

Friday's session is 6pm to 11pm and Saturday's are noon to 5pm and 6pm to 11pm. Each ticket is valid for one session only. This event is for those aged 18 and over.
