Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra at Colston Hall on Thursday 16th November 2017

Posted on: 06 Nov 2017

Expect a rip-roaring evening of sheer symphonic mastery when the ever-reliable Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra hits the Colston Hall on Thursday 16th November 2017.

Glazunov's From The Middle Ages will act as the triumphant, Straussian curtain-raiser that's a swashbuckling representation of medieval life, whilst Tchaikovsky's Suite No.3 brims with the composer's usual tunesmith skill interspersed with a beguiling, charming simplicity. Sandwiched between those two works is Beethoven's magnificent, turbulent, serene 3rd Piano Concerto, with ivory tinkling duties courtesy of pianist David Fray.

Leading the orchestral pack will be conductor Kirill Karabits for a night that will take you on a thrilling musical journey of three of the world's most important, towering composers intererpreted through the consummate musicianship of one of the world's finest orchestras.

Musical fireworks start at 7.30pm. Ticket prices range from £1 to £36 (including booking fee) and can be purchased here
