Often hailed as one of the pioneers of Dubstep by the likes of Skream and Benga, Benny Ill has been a staple of the UK music scene since the late nineties. To most, he is best known for his work in the Horsepower Productions group and the seminal album ‘In Fine Style’ - a genre defining album on Tempa records and a true piece of underground music history. Benny’s work is featured on the first ten Tempa 12” records dating back to the year 2000 but he still continues to push music out to this day, with recent releases on Loefah’s Swamp 81 imprint and Düsseldorf based label Version.

Benny Ill Boiler Room set:

In support will be a host of the UK’s finest up and coming DJs and producers. PAN:INC, a duo hailing from Brighton and Bristol, will be opening the night with one of their brooding, dark, unique and steppy techno sets. Followed by heavy hitting rising stars Jurango and Agrippa. With Jurango’s skill on the decks and Agrippa’s serious arsenal of dubs it’ll be a set to remember. Benny Ill will be playing a 90 minute headling set drawing from everything from classic UKG, Hardcore and the latest Swamp 81 dubplates. Basic Principles founder Roy Bar will be following Benny to take the night to a close.
