Band of Burns at The Lantern in Bristol on Monday 29th January 2018

Posted on: 29 Jan 2018

Burns Night may have come and gone but the memory of Scottish poet Robert Burns lives on this Monday 29th January 2018 at The Lantern in the form of folk ensemble Band of Burns.

True, there might not be the slightest glimpse of haggis, tatties and neeps or even a wee dram of whiskey, but this top-notch twelve-strong group of folk artists will invoke the true celebratory spirit of Scotland's premiere penner of prose.

Inspired and united by the philosophy and art of Robert Burns, Band of Burns have been prominent on the international music scene for some time, and its musical members comprise of Adam Beattie, Mikey Kenney, Dominie Hooper and members of The Langan Band, Honeyfeet and The Odd Beats.

Rejoicing in the poet's clear-cut ideologies of equality and social justice, the band will take to the stage of Colston Hall's The Lantern with a set that will take the audience on a thrilling selection of, as Glasgow's winter music festival Celtic Connections described it, "arresting new versions of classic Burns songs".

A seated show, tickets range from £18.81 to £23.65 including booking fees and can be purchased online here

The Lantern is located at Colston Hall, Colston Street, Bristol, BS1 5AR
